What is a Free Wedding Ceremony?

A Free Wedding Ceremony is a wonderful option for a wedding ceremony for all those people who cannot or do not want to have a religious ceremony, or simply have an unconventional, individual, or extraordinary desire for their wedding.

It is open to all couples, regardless of denomination or worldview. The extent to which religion or spirituality should play a role in the ceremony is determined by the couples themselves.

How does the preparation work?

Together, we create your unique ceremony: for example, with classic elements such as the wedding question, vows, and ring exchange, or a variety of individual rituals. And, of course, a wedding speech that touches and brings laughter: emotional and humorous!

Say „Yes“ to each other again, perhaps in an intimate family circle, without (preparation) stress and excitement, but full of trust in your long-lasting and growing love? I am also happy to create a ceremony for that!

In general, I officiate weddings in South Tyrol, but also wherever you want to have me!

Important to know: Neither a Free Wedding Ceremony nor a vow renewal has legal validity! They do not replace the civil wedding ceremony but are purely symbolic ceremonies.

Hi! I am Christine Wunsch.

Originally from Bavaria/Germany, I have been living in Steinegg near Bolzano in South Tyrol for a long time now.

When I give lectures and seminars, just like in my books and my podcast, everything revolves around happiness, relationships, and communication. Therefore, it is truly a matter of the heart for me to accompany couples as a wedding speaker on one of their happiest days and to impart some of my expertise for their future life together in a completely individual and personal wedding speech.

As a coach, I am accustomed to empathizing with people and bringing their goals and desires to light.

Thus, already in the preparation of the ceremony, we make it clear that your Free Wedding will indeed be your wedding as you wish it – and you will be absolutely happy!

Hey there,
This review comes to you from Bulgaria from Mariya and Nasko! If you are looking for a celebrant in the area of South Tyrol and the Dolomites – Christine is your person!

There is nothing that I can say that could really tell you how much we loved our ceremony and everything Christine did for us! I can only say „Thank you“, but this is definitely not enough!

But let me tell you a bit more about the ceremony itself:

We had several online meetings with Christine before the ceremony. She wanted to get to knows us better and to be able to capture who we are as a couple and individually. We also did a survey that she send over to us. We had a big laugh about this, as me and Nasko wrote completely different things as responses.

The ceremony text was given to us beforehand and when I read it for the first time I just started crying! Christine added all the stories and poems we wanted and the whole timeline was very carefully chosen. We wanted to translate it in Bulgarian, as some of our guests didn’t understand Bulgarian and we had one of our guests read the Bulgarian translation as Christine was reading the English one.

The ceremony happened on the 28th of September on the top of Seceda in Ortisei St. Ulrich and it was full of tears, laugh and love. We had chosen a place where the Seceda ridge was very well visible. Although it was a bit windy, it was sunny and we had the perfect weather.

During the ceremony, Christine welcomed our guests, she told our story and added the story of Solomon and his ring, which is a symbol of our love as we have the inscription „This too shall pass“ on our wedding rings. We also included a poem from Edward Cummings, which is a symbol of my mom’s love to me. We also had our own vows written and our guests had written some wishes for us too. We loved the ending of the ceremony, as Christine did some blessings of us and the rings and the final wishes she made. These things we will keep in our hearts and minds and will guide us for the future as well.

So thank you! You really made a difference for us and we couldn’t have dreamed for a better ceremony, that is more personal than the one we received!
